Erika Hoffeld, DVM, is a Montgomery County native. She did her undergraduate work at Goucher College in Baltimore, then attended the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, from which she graduated in 2004. Throughout her academic and clinical studies, Dr. Hoffeld pursued electives in exotic and wild animal medicine. She also took elective rotations in companion animal emergency medicine and ultrasonography.

Dr. Hoffeld is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights. She has also been accredited by the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.

Dr. Hoffeld's other interests include training at her karate dojo, drawing, sculpting, preparing tasty vegan fare, and spending time with her beloved mutts, Cora and Potato.
