Lisa Hicks, RVT (Patient Care Leader)

Lisa was born and raised in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. She is a registered technician with over 12 years of experience in the animal nursing field. For two of these years, she worked at a local Humane Society spay/neuter clinic, where she assisted with over 2000 spays, neuters and othe routine procedures. Her main interests in veterinary medicine include anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance.

When not caring for her animal patients, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and pets: her dogs Bella and Roxy, and 2 cats Otis and Daphne. She also enjoys reading, cooking and rooting for her favorite football teams, the Washington Redskins and Maryland Terrapins.

Natalie Sweeney

Natalie was born in Landstuhl, Germany and moved to Texas when she was 6 months old. When she was 4, her father was transferred to Andrews Air Force Base and she has lived in Maryland ever since. Natalie has been a veterinary technician in private practice since 1998. She has worked at a local Humane Society spay/neuter clinic, where she gained many hours of experience in surgery and anesthesia monitoring. She has worked at Kindness Animal Hospital since 2004.

In August 1999, Natalie married her husband; they reside locally with their daughter, their one dog (Daisy) and two cats (Fiona and Smokey). In her spare time, Natalie enjoys knitting and showing pugs, and has over 20 years of experience breeding them. She is also very active in pug rescue.

Changus S. Hayes

Changus recently joined the Kindness team. He has 10 years of experience as a veterinary technician in private practice. He enjoys coaching sports, fishing, music, positive attitudes, animals and the outdoors. He aspires to become a teacher in biological sciences.
